To maintain & expand Evanston Day Nursery's programs to meet the needs of the Evanston community, we do many different fundraising programs & events throughout the year. Tuition & institutional funding sources only cover about 75% of our annual costs. Each year, Evanston Day Nursery participates in or develops fundraising events such as Evanston's Farmer's Market Bake Sale, The Fall Bulb Sale, Little Caesar's Pizza Kits, Spring Bash & Silent Auction, & the Annual Pancake Breakfast. These events provide great opportunities for families & community members to become better acquanted.

Several set times a year, EDN sells gift cards from GLSCRIP.com. Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in out scrip program including JCPenney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others. You might be wondering how these stores help us raise money. It’s simple- scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families, like yours, buy the certificates for full face value & redeem them for full face value, and EDN keeps the difference as revenue.

| Funding Factory
Last year alone, more than 300 million ink cartridges were thrown away, while 30,000,000 cell phones were tossed or replaced. By collecting old cell phones and used cartridges from printers, fax machines, or desktop copiers we can earn cash for our school. You can help by dropping off your recycled items at EDN.
